Keeping textiles in use

We connect communities, businesses and institutions to build circular fashion systems that work.

What we are

We are a CIC focusing on practical action and collaboration to help keep clothing, skills and materials in use for longer.

Our role is to connect the people, knowledge and infrastructure needed to make circular fashion visible, accessible and viable in the real world.

Credibility & proof.

Trusted by councils, brands and community organisations

Fashion was built on a linear system. It's time to transition to a circular one.

For decades we've built a system that extracts resources, manufactures at speed, encourages constant consumption and then treats clothing as waste. The result is a linear industry that takes, makes and throws away, leaving behind environmental damage, lost skills and missed economic opportunity.

We believe the problem isn't simply that people buy too many clothes or that too few are recycled. The problem is the system itself.

Future Fashion Fair exists to help build something better.

We work to accelerate the transition towards a circular fashion economy by connecting communities, businesses, educators and public institutions. Through practical projects, research, events and collaboration, we're helping create the infrastructure needed to keep textiles in use for longer, develop new skills, support local enterprise and make circular fashion accessible to everyone.

Because circular fashion isn't just about recycling.

It's about designing products that last. Repairing instead of replacing. Sharing knowledge. Building local capability. Creating businesses that regenerate rather than extract. And giving people the tools, spaces and confidence to participate in a different kind of fashion system.

We believe the future of fashion won't be built by one organisation alone. It will be built through collaboration.

That's where we come in.

Impact

Circular fashion in numbers.

We measure what matters. From ecosystem members to textiles kept in use, these figures show how collaboration creates real change in circular fashion systems.

~4.3 billion

Garments sold in the UK every year. We're helping to rebuild local manufacturing, repair and remanufacturing, creating stronger local fashion ecosystems that keep more value within our communities and reduce reliance on overseas production.

‍≈47% of textiles discarded are thrown in residual waste bins. Our research found residual waste remains the dominant destination for unwanted textiles. We're building the infrastructure and awareness needed to keep materials in use for longer.
